Senior General Manager, Vermont

Early Days

How I learned to snowboard

I went to the top of the Four Runner Quad in Stowe and told myself I had to find a way down. Not the most conventional, and I couldn’t walk the next day, but younger me didn’t have the common sense I do now.

How long I’ve been snowboarding

Since 2019—still new and learning!

Top picks

Favorite place to snowboard

Stowe, Vermont

Favorite ski trail

Any trail with friends on a sunny day. Also Toll Road. While mostly a green trail, there’s a lot of history, children learning the sport we all love, and beautiful views of Vermont.

The Toll Road ski trail at Stowe Mountain Resort began as a mid-1800’s bridle path and carriage road before becoming the site of the first recorded ski descent on Mount Mansfield in 1914. You can also turn off Toll Road and hit Jake’s Ride, a tribute to the late Jake Burton Carpenter, and his favorite trail on the mountain.

Favorite lift

The Stowe Gondola. On a clear day, the views are breathtaking. You can see clear to Mount Washington in New Hampshire and can get a warm waffle at Waffle Cabin at the top. Can’t beat it!

Favorite piece of gear

My Ninja Suit. While not overly warm, at least I look cool in my base layer.

Favorite aprés ski spot

Ranch Camp! It’s a hidden gem. The staff is great, the drinks are cold, and the food is delicious.

Twin tips

Stay dry, and have fun!
