Its visitors enjoy long, storied trails paired with a historic village, premier accommodations, and a modern base village at Spruce Peak. Stowe spans two mountains connected by a transfer gondola, and they serve different skiers: Spruce Peak holds the learning terrain, gentle groomers, and family programming, while Mount Mansfield carries the Front Four and the steeps that made the resort’s name. Between them sit long intermediate cruisers like Perry Merrill and Ridge Run. More than half the mountain is rated intermediate, and the Toll Road runs 4.3 miles from top to bottom. Down the Mountain Road, the village of Stowe has been receiving skiers since the 1930s, and the Mount Mansfield Ski Patrol is the oldest in the country.
