Beaver Creek was planned from scratch as a mountain resort, with three linked villages, heated walkways, escalators to the lifts, and a daily tradition of free chocolate chip cookies at three o’clock
Its visitors enjoy meticulously groomed terrain paired with three interconnected villages, premier accommodations, and a level of polish that shows in details most resorts never consider. Beaver Creek spans roughly 2,000 acres and rises 3,340 feet to an 11,440-foot summit. Beginners have McCoy Park, a dedicated learning area up top rather than a corner of the base, and Bachelor Gulch Mountain runs almost entirely gentle. Intermediates get long groomed cruisers across all three peaks, and experienced skiers head for the bumps and glades of Grouse Mountain or Birds of Prey, the World Cup downhill course that hosts Audi FIS racing each December. You can ski village to village, Beaver Creek to Bachelor Gulch to Arrowhead, on mostly beginner and intermediate terrain, and free shuttles connect all three when you’d rather not.
