A mountain for every skill level

Aspen is a Victorian mining town in the Roaring Fork Valley with four separate ski mountains around it, all on a single lift ticket or ski pass and connected by free buses

Its visitors enjoy an unusual range of terrain paired with a walkable historic downtown, a dense gallery and dining scene, premier accommodations, and year-round mountain recreation. The four mountains each serve a different skier: Buttermilk has no black diamond runs and is built for learning, Snowmass covers more than 3,300 acres with the highest vertical rise in the country at 4,400 feet, Aspen Mountain rises straight out of downtown, and Aspen Highlands holds the Highland Bowl and has no beginner terrain at all. Together they total more than 5,700 acres, and free buses run between all four and downtown.
