It's visitors get 110 named trails across 3,000 acres, from a 4,464-foot base to a 6,817-foot summit, a vertical drop of 2,353 feet, with nearly 300 inches of snow a year. Hell Fire, the longest run, is two and a half miles. Fourteen lifts serve terrain that is roughly half advanced or expert, plus four terrain parks and a skier/boardercross course. Lower lifts stay lit for night skiing on Fridays and Saturdays and over the Christmas holidays. Whitefish takes neither Epic nor Ikon, and a peak-season adult day ticket runs about $115. ## Everything you need to know ### How do I get to Whitefish? Glacier Park International Airport (FCA) in Kalispell is about 19 miles from the resort and is about a 30 minute drive. ### Do I need a rental car? Not necessarily. The free S.N.O.W. Bus runs between downtown Whitefish and the resort every day of the winter and summer seasons. Amtrak’s Empire Builder stops daily at the Whitefish Depot downtown, so you can arrive by train and skip a car entirely. Transportation to and from the airport would need to be arranged and getting beyond town and the mountain would be where a rental car would be most beneficial. ### How far is Whitefish Mountain Resort from town? The town of Whitefish is a 6-mile drive from the base, and the free S.N.O.W. Bus runs between downtown and the resort every day of the winter and summer seasons. The resort also runs free shuttles between its base lodge, parking lots, lifts, and village. ### Is Whitefish on the Epic or Ikon Pass? No. Whitefish is independent and belongs to none of the major multi resort passes, including Epic, Ikon, Mountain Collective, and Indy.
